As Chris de Burgh famously sang ‘ The lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek
There’s nobody here, it’s just you and me
It’s where I want to be
But I hardly know this beauty by my side
I’ll never forget the way you look tonight’ I think many of us can unanimously agree that there is something special about a lady in a red dress, this brings me to today’s blog post; Lady in red – once upon a date night, enjoy.

Lady in red – once upon a date night

Every time summer hits I find that conversations have a common theme with many centred around who has shed some winter…partner. Who is single? What’s news with that old flame and the new?

I love dates, they make relationships fun and special…oh those I will pick you up at 7.30 for 8pm we going for dinner kind of vibes. There you are sitting across the table from each other, fingers intertwined, sipping on that glass of vino whispering sweet nothings to each other. I am all about that cheesy goodness.
If this is you, I have some head-to-toe date night tips!

Hair – I am wearing a sultry, Caribbean wavy Belleba hair wig unit. I have never worn a weave this short…why did no one tell me I have been missing out? It is an easy wear, just wet it and you are ready to go! I will keep you posted with updated reviews as I wear in the hair.
This Belleba Hair Caribbean wave wig unit is bomb, easily 5 out of 5 kisses from me.
Don’t miss out on Belleba Hair’s pre-launch promotion, click on this link and check them out.

Dress – this rouge number is from Mix clothing. The epitome of effortless class if I do say so myself.

Coat – the light navy green coat is X&O from YDE, it balances the look extremely well.

Shoes – These adorable Steve madden strapped heels in tan should be a staple in every closet.

Makeup – I went for a glowing sultry, dewy look. To achieve this look you would need these essentials;
Dark palate tans, browns and deep reds. I used the dark browns in the MAC’s eye shadow pallet ‘warm neutrals‘ and the Mac Sketch powder blush to add some depth in the crease of my eyelid.
Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit using the gold colour to highlight the center of my eyelid and the arch of my brow as well as my cheeks.
Essence liquid eyeliner followed by Revlon eyeliner to line my under eye
MAC mascara, topped with the MAC fixed spray to blend the makeup for that dewy glow. Finally I opted for the Colourpop liquid lipstick in lax, I am mad about this lipstick at the moment it is life as they say.

Location – Kloof Street House boys and girls, the venue does half the work for those who are doing a first date there. They really do set the mood and give you quite a unique experience. It is ideal for a date night for couples or someone that you are familiar with.  However, if you are not familiar with your date or you find that moments are getting awkward then there is so much about the impeccable decor you can talk about, if that fails the delicious food and great service will do.

Your man – ha ha that’s on you, find someone who enjoys romantic dates too…
